Ministries

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of knitters, crocheters and quilters who spend time twice a month working on prayer shawls which are blessed and then given to those going through a time of transition, whether it be illness, the loss of a loved one, graduation, birth of a new child or other life events. The group begins its time with prayer and a meditation and discussion.

St. Andrew’s hosts the Community Food Center of Tamworth and Sandwich, which is open every other Wednesday, and offers the option to choose what foods are desired for an individual or family, rather than just being given a bag of food. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 603-960-4067.

Eleanore’s Project recently packed and shipped 25 cartons of wheelchairs and medical equipment which will make its way to Peru to help transform the lives of children. We blessed the truck after church with gratitude for all the helpers. To learn more about Eleanore’s Project, click here: https://www.eleanoresproject.org/

St. Andrew’s hosts Scout Troop 151

Parishioners of St. Andrew’s-in-the-Valley support the CHiPS program (Children of Incarcerated Persons) with their donations of unwrapped gifts for children of all ages. Once the parents choose the gift for their child, volunteers get busy wrapping the gifts in time for the Holidays.

St. Andrew’s celebrates the animals in our lives – to include those who live with us and bring us joy to those who pollinate and help fertilize to those who are endangered or extinct.  Parishioners and community members joined in the blessing celebration.
